The Hidden Gem
Hidden Gem is a gift shop situated in The Old Vicarage, a building which is described on the council website as being a place of historical interest. A historical re-enactment and display has been created for the Artwalk and there will be a reading of poetry, specifically written around the vicarage and surrounding area, with refreshments served. This month we will also be demonstrating how to make a Victorian lavender/rose pouch, which were used to keep clothes smelling fresh in drawers and hung in wardrobes.

The Hidden Gem Wed 29th May 2024The Hidden Gem in The Old Vicarage host several artists and crafters. The Old Vicarage, which has just been saved from an application for demolition, is of historical interest. There were over 1,000 objections placed in just 5 days to save this building. There will be a staged poetry performance from 6.30pm, aimed at the old vicarage and surrounding areas. We will remain open till 9pm for Artwalk visitors and refreshments will be available in The Hidden Gem shop.

The Hidden Gem Wed 27th Mar 2024Featuring offerings from several Artists and crafters, from steampunk to bespoke handbags, or just sit and have a chat over a cuppa. The artwork on the back wall, will be of great interest to most visitors on the Artwalk, along with the old features and character of the building.
